From the
time we accepted the pastorate of the First United
Pentecostal Church in 1981, my wife and I have been
excited about winning the lost. There is no other
agenda. Our goal is souls. At that time, we were
fortunate to have a nucleus of people, around 25 or 30,
who were more than willing to buy into our vision of a
"revival church," in the city of Russellville. By the
late 80's we had reached our capacity in Sunday School
packing out our little auditorium every Sunday.
Unfortunately it was 1995 before we could locate the
right property to build our new facility. We are now
located on nine and a half acres on the west side of our
city near Lake Dardanelle. We moved from an approximate
4,000 square foot building to 23,000 square feet and
have now added a 7,000 square foot Family Life Center.
To God be the Glory! During the construction process
there were many miracles and when we look back now we
realize it was nothing less than God at work for His
people.
He is still
blessing as we see souls being added to the church each
week. With a staff of dedicated and sincere
people, we feel God is leading us into even greater
revival. We refuse to be satisfied with status quo
church.

The First United
Pentecostal Church exists to exalt
the Lord Jesus Christ, rejoicing in
Him, as we bring believers to
maturity, and evangelize the lost.
We still design out ministries to
strengthen healthy families and will
seek to be an instrument of healing
for hurting families by helping them
to become functional. We desire to
exemplify His compassion and His
unconditional love for the sinner.
Using the word of God as our
authority and the power of prayer as
our enablement we join in
Christ-like unity. Our goal is to
reach non-believers with His message
of gladness, joy, and mercy in
Russellville, our surrounding
communities, our state, our nation,
and our world. |
