"God First" is a Biblical principal
that we at The Pentecostals of Russellville have embraced
with great excitement. God established, in the very
beginning the importance of putting Him First, above all
else. Obviously we live in a world that has lost that
concept. Unfortunately that is true both in the church and
outside the church. In Revelation 2 Jesus inspired the
Apostle John to write to the church of Ephesus some very
sobering words. In the first part of His message, He
commended them for their doctrine and diligence. Then in
verse 4 He says, "Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee,
because thou hast left thy first love."
You did a lot of things right but, in your busyness you
forgot to put GOD FIRST!
The Pentecostals of Russellville are determined not
to make that mistake.

We have taken up the challenge to begin our work week on
Monday with one hour of prayer and devotion. We are setting
aside our earnings for the first hour of work as a special
"God First Offering" designated for the Church mortgage. We
encourage our congregation to extend their "God First Hour"
of devotion to everyday of the week.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the
kingdom of God, and His righteousness: and all these things
shall be added unto you." When God gave the law to Moses He
made it clear they were not to have any other gods before
Him.
I invite you to join us as we return to the apostolic
principle of putting "God First."
